| Agenda for Reunion 2002 |
The provisional agenda currently stands thus:
Friday night June 21st
- Registration from 8.30 followed by Wine and cheese reception in St Mary’s Hall and talk on the history of Pettigo and the Clan Mc Grath by John B. Cunningham M.A. Admission free.
- Music in local bars and arranged gatherings of Mc Graths by genealogical line and location. A reporter to collate information.
Saturday morning
- 10.30 Coach tour to local Mc Grath sites and other items of note in the area – Mc Graths Castle, Altruaidin, Lough Derg, Carne Graveyard, Lettercrann, Drumskinney Stone Circle and the Janus Figure onBoa Island.
Lunch 2.00.
Afternoon. 3.00
- Reports on Clan activity by area –Tipperary/Clare, Waterford, Pettigo, Internet growth, plus Clan Book launch,“Termon Mc Grath, Pettigo and the Termon Valley” by John Cunningham.
- Take part in Pettigo Fair Day re-enactment. Dress up in costume from peasant to squire and take part in the Fairday activities. Horses and carts, pony rides for children, street games, stalls, street singers and musicians,
traditional foods. Fun for all and the more fun when you join in.Saturday night
- 9.00 Clan Banquet in Miler Mc Grath’s Restaurant with short talk on “Big Bad Miler.” Dancing till late. Mc Grath and local singers and musicians.
Sunday Morning
- 11.00 to 12.30 Boat trip on Lough Derg with guide.
- Final gathering at Mc Grath Castle followed by Buffet Lunch at 1.30 at the castle weather permitting.
